Concrete Specimen Moulds About

Concrete specimen moulds are used to prepare standard-shaped test specimens from fresh concrete. AYKOMSAN KALIP offers BMC composite cube and cylinder moulds for site and laboratory workflows.

Cube or cylinder?

Select the geometry according to the applicable standard and project specification. TS EN 12390-1 / EN 12390-1 is a primary reference for shape, dimensions and tolerances.

  • 150×150×150 mm cube moulds
  • Ø100×200 mm cylinder moulds
  • Different body weights
  • Compressed-air demoulding

Why BMC?

BMC is a glass-fibre reinforced polyester moulding compound. Its non-metallic body does not corrode and is suitable for repeated handling when correctly cleaned and stored.

  • Portable body
  • One-piece construction
  • Easy-to-clean surface
  • Controlled air release

Use and maintenance

Clean the mould before casting, follow the specified placing, compaction and curing procedure, and release the specimen using controlled air. Do not force the body with hard tools.

Quotation factors

Geometry, size, body weight, order quantity, stock and delivery planning affect the quotation. State the referenced method and daily usage for accurate selection.

Reliable results in practice

Specimen mould selection is only one part of the concrete or mortar testing workflow. Comparable results also require representative sampling, correct placing and compaction, clear specimen identification and curing under the conditions required by the applicable procedure. Inspect the mould before use. Hardened residue, cracks, severe wear or visible distortion should trigger cleaning, dimensional verification or replacement. On products designed for compressed-air release, keep the inlet clear and apply pressure gradually; do not force the specimen with impact tools. Before purchase, confirm the product code, internal dimensions, body weight and material in writing. This prevents confusion between products that have similar names but different geometries. Where the laboratory quality system requires it, verify internal dimensions at planned intervals with suitable measuring equipment and retain the inspection records. The current project specification and the latest edition of the referenced test standard always take precedence over general product information.
